Due to the many hours of investment from our Fantastic Auction team and the people who so graciously gave last year, look what is happening at FBA!!!!

 

Technology update - 30 new Chromebooks and a traveling lab for our students

 

FORMS DUE:  Remember medical forms (K, 6, 9th grade and all new Homeschool/out of state students – physical, immunization, dental, eye forms; 2nd grade – dental only) were due to the office by September 1.  If you have not turned in your forms please contact Pat immediately with the date of your scheduled appointment.

 

Lunchroom/Classroom Request – Please notify the office 24 hours prior to having lunch with your student.  It helps so much in our ability to know who is coming and to be able to notify our lunchroom supervisors.  Just call Pat, 726-6040, to make arrangements on the day before you would like to join your child for lunch.  Also, always check in with receptionist when needing to speak with or drop something off to your child/office.  We will be most happy to facilitate your needs. Please do not enter classroom when class is in session.  Thanks for your help in this matter.

 

Box Tops for Education Contest–   Next Box Top contest begins now - October 15th.  Please be sure to send in those box tops during that time to your child’s homeroom teacher.  The classroom with the most box tops collected will earn special recognition. The box tops money helps us expand and keep our playgrounds safe for student use.  We collect box tops all year round and we are grateful for all your help in making this happen! We are looking for a box top coordinator so if you are interested please don’t hesitate to contact us!

 

FBA Yearbook –The K-8 Yearbook staff is having its Kick-Off Meeting on Wednesday, September 14th, at 2:00 p.m. in room 260. The plan for this year's book will be clearly outlined and page assignments made. Come and learn how you can help record God's faithfulness in your student's class. For K-8, send your R.S.V.P. and any questions to Monica Munhofen at: monicamommy@yahoo.com.

Scholastic Book Fair – Mark your calendars for Monday, November 14th -Friday, November 18th for our Scholastic Book Fair.  Last year our profit from the book fair provided money for books for our students and our on-line library checkout system.  More information will be coming home soon.

 

Picture Day – Mark your calendars for picture day on Friday, November 4th.

 

Scrip Order - Our next SCRIP order is due in the office by noon on Tuesday, September 13th.  Let Pat know if you have any questions, 726-6040.

 

Weather Changes/Appropriate Dress:  Please be sure that your child comes to school with appropriate clothing for outdoor play.  We will be going outside whenever possible even in cold weather and the children will be expected to have clothing that is appropriate for outdoor conditions.  Please make sure they come prepared to stay warm.  Thanks for your help in this matter.

 

Fundraising Opportunities -   Please help our school this year by participating in our on-going opportunities:

·         Scrip (forms available in office)

·         Box Tops (drop off in box top box located in atrium by FBA boxes or classrooms) Helps with playground cost/upkeep. We are looking for a box top coordinator so if you are interested please don’t hesitate to contact us

·         Paper Recycling, (drop off in large green bins located by playground or 7 hills parking lot) Recycling money helps to purchase copy paper when we need to replenish

·         Schnuck’s eScrip Card Program (if you shop Schnuck’s this is a way to help make money for our school.  Cards are available in the folder outside the FBA office.

 

Parents in Prayer – If you would be interested in praying for our students, school and families, please contact Kim Tinge, kim.tinge@gmail.com for more information.  There is a group who meets at 8:30 on Monday mornings to pray or you can be on an email list to receive prayer requests.  I covet your prayers!

 

Tuition Payments –   Thank you for being so prompt with your tuition payments!  It is greatly appreciated! Remember late charges, $25, will be applied to all late tuition payments.

 

Be looking for a letter home concerning our Emergency Plans.  Have a wonderful long weekend!!
