Message to Parents & Students:
It is exciting to begin another year of teaching at FBA and to be a part of your lives. Since joining the team of teachers in 2010, my heart has been repeatedly and continually warmed by the spiritual depth and strength our students possess. What a tremendous privilege and responsibility to partner with families in guiding young lives in search of God and the pursuit of truth!
As a country preacher’s kid, I learned and experienced God’s love early in life. My first prayer to receive Christ as my personal Savior was at the age of 5. Later at the age of 9, I found reassurance of my salvation at church camp. Thus began an adventurous journey that has led me into various forms of ministry at home and abroad. Through it all God has always proven faithful. More recently, God blessed my life with giving me the desire of my heart—motherhood in the form of two adopted children! With that blessing come new challenges that keep me leaning upon Him daily for wisdom, grace, and strength. It is awesome to witness the work of God in answered prayer and transformed lives, my own included!
General Goals & Responsibilities:
This year I am teaching Spanish Enrichment Classes to K-5, Spanish I, Spanish II, 10th Grade Health (fall) and 10th Grade Personal Finance (spring). My goals are the following:
1. To facilitate Spanish language learning with awareness and appreciation of the Hispanic culture in order to better minister to others for the glory of God.
2. To bring students to an awareness of all the aspects of health and personal responsibility, and to assist them in learning good stewardship of the resources God entrusts to them throughout life.
